PS3 DualShock 3 Controller

PS3 DualShock

After long waiting, now the biggest gamming product on offer in recent week hits the US today, released DualShock 3 controller for the PS3. Still, has it been worth the wait and, more importantly, is it worth all that cash? Not really, according to a review over at Ugo.com:

“Considering the rumble is the only possible reason you’d pick up the DualShock 3, it’s pretty underwhelming. Compared to the Xbox 360’s rumble, which feels like a miniature horse bucking its way in the palm of your hands, the DualShock 3 feels more like a slightly agitated cockroach that’s had one too many mochas. You can feel it, sure but in games like Resistance you really should feel like you’re blasting away with a machine gun, instead of feeling like your cell phone just went off in your hands. I’d say the rumble is on par with the Wiimote’s rumble, which is to say, pretty forgettable.”

Maybe, I will wait a bit longer and play PS3 as usual or back to my PSP.

PS3 BD-Live Support Now Available

posted by myomind.com in Tech, Toys

PS3The PlayStation 3 is the first Blue-ray player to support BD-Live functionality. BD-Live requires that a Blu-ray player have 1 GB of internal storage and an internet connection. The PS3 has a hard drive and obviously can get on the net. With these things, it gives you access to new “extras” after the disc has been released. BD Live is probably a lot like the feature HD DVD had. You can download content to a HD (your PS3) made especially for that DVD. And now available as a free download to PS3 owners directly through the console’s onscreen interface. More
